UPA 3.0

After months of wondering if the UPA will ever come out of the hole they dug for themselves via the unbridled corruption scams, it is heartening to see they plan to ride the wave of reforms back as a comeback. With a renowned economist at the helm and an able executioner as the Finance Minister, this is the Government that has the guts to take tough calls and revamp the economy and it will remain to be seen Dr. Manmohan can pull off another 1991. Tough calls, some of them anti-populist, are key for long term economic growth and this just might be the magic trick that the UPA pulls off to come back to power. They still have a good year+, I do hope they react to the situation as a cat does when cornered act-or-perish.

Born to fly

i was born to fly
with wings apart
white and strong
wide and broad

jump from the cliffs
graze the still waters
race the fastest birds
tease the largest animals

and so I set out to train
strengthened my wings
with unwavering will
and unflinching grit

but I know not
when to end the drill
the strength I need
is immeasurable, illimitable

what if the white-spread
serves me not
falls me to the ground
never to rise up

what will I do with life
if I can never fly again
but then I wonder, what for was life
if I never fly?

so to my white wings, I say
"believe in me, as in you do I"
for one day all will die
So let's fly or at least give it a try!
